Discovering Musical Talent
Luis is one of the students at Joyful Learning Children's Program. He loves to sing and listen to music. He first learned how to play the piano at the after-school. He reflected on this experience, saying, "It's my first time playing the piano, and it's so much fun! I love how I can make such pleasing sounds with each musical chord. My family couldn't afford piano lessons, but I'm so grateful that I can now through this program." Luis' tutor, Ms. Wendy Kim, also commented, "Luis has a gift in playing music, and it's fulfilling to teach him and see him enjoy it. I'm grateful that he can display his talents like this through the after school program." Give Chances hopes to continue providing students who cannot afford extracurricular activities with the opportunity to explore their passions and talents.
