Give Chances Meeting with PNPLINE

Give Chances Meeting with PNPLINE
Today, the staff at Give Chances and PNPLINE had a meeting to introduce Give Chances and our organization’s programs. We gave a presentation about each of our categories as well as the programs associated with each. After explaining some of the impacts that we had on our community, we suggested 4 ways that PNPLINE can get involved and show their support for us.
1. Donation Opportunities
2. Be A Talent Donor
3. Be An Active Volunteer
4. Spreading The Word
PNPLINE employees said that they learned more about what Give Chances does, and said that it was a beneficial time. I would like to express my gratitude to the PNPLINE employees for their time, and Give Chance will have more time for these conversations in the future and find more ways to collaborate with other companies. PNPLINE employees took this opportunity with us to learn more about our organization and we were extremely thankful for their time. Give Chances will look for more ways to collaborate with other companies and hopefully we can have more conversations in the future.

Summer Camp: Midpoint Checkup "Personalized Skill test"

Summer Camp: Midpoint Checkup "Personalized Skill test"
As a midpoint check for our students, we decided to use IXL Learning's personalized skill tests. All students chose Math and Language Arts/English skills that aligned with content from the most recent school year. We are so thankful for all of our volunteers these past couple of days for being patient with us in learning how to properly test students, log students in with their username and password, and for even taking on multiple students! Thank you to students as well for answering it to the best of your abilities! Through these results, we now know how to better support the students' areas of need.

Summer Camp: Creative Writing Session

Summer Camp: Creative Writing Session
Our creative writing session was dedicated to everything about poems this week. The volunteer tutors shared with us how impressed they were at many of their students' creativity in writing and learning about poems. The first image is Isaac Yoo's acrostic poem (using his name) and haiku poem (about Summer). The second image is David Yoo's haiku about Summertime! The last 3 images are from Esther Cho's poem about birds. Esther made a beautiful PowerPoint that allowed her creativity and artistic talent to shine through her poem writing! We are so impressed by all of our students and are excited to see more of what they are capable of.
