Joyful Learning Worldwide – Africa: Our First English Class in Burkina Faso!

April 23rd marked an exciting first for Give Chances as we launched Joyful Learning Worldwide Africa with our very first English class at Fruit de l’Esprit High School in Burkina Faso! This moment was more than just a lesson—it was the start of a new chapter, bringing our mission of joyful, accessible education to students in Africa.

Twenty eager students joined us via Zoom, curious and hopeful. At first, there were shy smiles and quiet hesitation—but as we dove into interactive bingo and listening games, the virtual classroom came alive. Laughter filled the room, and one by one, even the quietest students found the courage to join in.

By the end of the class, the energy was contagious. This first step reminded us how powerful joyful and encouraging learning environments can be—no matter the distance.

We’re honored to walk alongside these incredible students as they take their first steps on this English-learning journey. And this is only the beginning!

Through Joyful Learning Worldwide, we aim to provide more than just language lessons. We believe education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty—equipping students with the skills and confidence they need to build brighter futures and achieve lasting success. We can’t wait to share more joyful moments as Joyful Learning Worldwide continues to grow.
