[Give Chances] August Weekly Newsletter 6

Every month, we proudly host a pop-up shop to showcase the unique talents of our DDartists by turning their beautiful art into cards that are available for purchase. Other vendors and local small businesses participate in our pop-up shops to sell their own products. At our most recent pop-up shop on August 17th, alongside our DDartists' creations, was a small business called Crodam, which sells a variety of crochet products. This event was made even more special by the participation of our Chance Makers student leaders, who played a vital role in promoting the pop-up shop, drawing in the neighborhood crowd, and assisting with the organization and transactions.

In a gesture of appreciation for our Chance Makers' help, Crodam gifted each of our students with a handcrafted crochet creation. We were moved by Crodam's kindness and generosity, which perfectly exemplifies the spirit of community, compassion, and partnership that our DDartists pop-up shops strive to cultivate. After this experience with Crodam, we are inspired to continue building lasting relationships with other local business owners and artists.
