An Exciting Taekwondo Session with Our Talented Volunteer!

Last week, the Give Chances Joyful Learning After School program was delighted to welcome Riley Park, a talented volunteer from Tenafly High School. She led an inspiring Taekwondo session for our children. From learning basic moves to practicing powerful kicks, the room was filled with fierce energy and and excited laughter.

Riley not only shared with our Joyful Learning students the art of Taekwondo but also instilled the values of focus, discipline, and self-control. Our students embraced the challenge, and gained confidence as the lesson progressed.

Reflecting on this memorable day, Riley shared:
“Seeing the children enjoy learning Taekwondo made me feel so proud and happy.”

This special mentoring experience enriched both the children and our high school volunteer. While our students gained new skills and confidence, Riley found the joy of giving back and connecting with the community—a win-win for everyone!

We extend our deepest gratitude to Riley Park and all the volunteers who make these moments possible. Your support and encouragement help us build a brighter future for the children in our community.

We are excited to continue creating opportunities like this for growth, learning, and connection. Stay tuned for other fun-filled activities!
