Kickstarting the Joyful Learning Summer School Program!

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of this year's Joyful Learning Summer School Program at Give Chances! As the summer season began, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to create a fun and engaging educational experience for all participants. The program offers a range of activities, including interactive workshops, field trips, and hands-on learning opportunities, all designed to promote joyful exploration and growth.

From the very first day, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and laughter. Children and educators alike immersed themselves in a origami activity, having an engaging time within a supportive and inclusive environment. 

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the educators, volunteers, and generous supporters who made this program possible. Together, we are fostering a love for learning and creating unforgettable memories for all the young minds at Give Chances.

DDartists Paycheck Presentation Ceremony!

This week, we gathered at Give Chances to celebrate the hard work and talent of our incredible artists from the DDartists Program. Following our successful Mother's Day Fundraising Project, it was time for the much-anticipated Paycheck Presentation Ceremony. The event was filled with joy, pride, and heartfelt gratitude.

As we handed out each well-deserved paycheck, the room filled with applause and beaming smiles. The ceremony resonated with everyone present, as we witnessed the fruits of our artists' labor and the empowerment that comes with earning recognition and compensation for their artistic endeavors.

We are immensely proud of the DDartists and their journey. We extend our gratitude to our supporters and donors who continue to make these opportunities possible, enabling individuals with developmental disabilities to explore their passions and contribute their unique perspectives to the world.

Chance Makers Leadership Council (Final Deadline July 31st)

We are excited to announce that applications for the 2023-2024 Chance Makers Leadership Council are now open!

At Give Chances, we firmly believe that leadership is a crucial skill for creating positive change. The Chance Makers Volunteer Leadership Council is specifically designed to help students develop the skills and qualities needed to become effective leaders in their communities. By joining this esteemed council, members will embark on a transformative journey of personal growth, empowerment, and community engagement.

Throughout the school year, students will participate in an enriching curriculum centered around monthly themes such as Team Building, Ethics and Integrity, Public Speaking, Grassroots Organizing, and more. Our program offers a variety of leadership workshops, engaging guest speaker events, and hands-on activities designed to enhance their leadership capabilities. The pinnacle of the program will be the Annual Panelist Discussion Event, where council members will have the opportunity to recruit mentors, plan event logistics, and network with peers and professionals.

As a member of the Chance Makers Leadership Council, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of leadership while developing practical skills and experience in leadership and service. These invaluable experiences will equip them to make a positive impact in their community and become an effective leader in future endeavors.

• Potential Recommendation Letters for College and/or Internships by Program Coordinator

If you have volunteered with Give Chances for at least six months, want to improve your leadership skills, and have a keen dedication to service, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

To ensure consideration, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. Please be aware that applications will not be reviewed once all seats for the cohort have been filled.
