[Give Chances] June Weekly Newsletter 1-2

Successful Conclusion of the DDartists Mother's Day Fundraising Project

Give Chances has had an exciting couple of weeks filled with community outreach, special archery classes for students, and the successful completion of the 2023 College Admission Seminar.

This past week, Give Chances successfully completed its DDartists Mother's Day Fundraising Project at the Be Fort Lee Artisan Market. Through this opportunity, our volunteers spread more awareness to community members about our program and made significant sales of DDartists products.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to all the generous individuals who supported our program participants. Thanks to your contributions, we were able to conclude the project with great success, and on June 29th, we will be providing wages to these talented artists for their time and hard work!

Our community outreach efforts have played a vital role in the growth of our artists with developmental disabilities. By providing them with platforms to showcase their talent and connecting them with the community, we have further empowered them to reach new heights in their artistic journeys.

As we continue to move forward, we remain excited about the upcoming projects and initiatives that lie ahead. We will keep the Give Chances community informed about our future events and opportunities to get involved!

2023 Free College Admissions Seminar Wraps Up with Outstanding Results

We are also delighted to share that our recently held 2023 Free College Admission Seminar concluded with great success. The seminar featured an incredibly informative lecture on various aspects of college admissions, covering essential topics such as choosing the best summer programs, the digital transition of the SAT, differentiating your application for Ivy League schools, and more.

The turnout for the event was fantastic, with a large number of participants in attendance. One parent who participated in the seminar shared their experience, stating, "I had no knowledge about the college admissions process, but thanks to this free seminar, I gained detailed insights. I am also grateful and delighted to have had the opportunity to help artists with developmental disabilities at Give Chances through the bazaar event. It was a meaningful and fulfilling experience."

The mini bazaar held during the seminar also contributed to the great fulfillment of the event. Through this fundraising initiative, we were able to boost our support for DDartists participants by providing competitive wages for their time.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mr. Young-ho Lee of Prestige for leading the seminar and KCC for co-hosting this event with us. Looking ahead, Give Chances is committed to collaborating with various organizations to host more successful events. We strive to provide opportunities that bring about positive change and create meaningful experiences for all involved.

Special Archery Lessons: Empowering Children through Focus and Discipline

Recently, we had the privilege of hosting a special archery class for students in our after-school program, thanks to the generous support of Xcel Archery Academy.

During the archery class, the children were filled with excitement and awe as they discovered this new and fascinating sport. It was heartwarming to witness their focus and determination while aiming their bows. The Xcel Archery Academy truly made a positive impact on our young participants, instilling in them important values such as discipline, concentration, and perseverance.

Xcel Archery Academy staff dedicated their time and expertise to ensure the children had a memorable and enriching experience. They provided all the necessary equipment and even brought targets to enhance the learning environment.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire team at Xcel Archery Academy for their incredible support. Their dedication to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children is inspiring, and we are privileged to have partnered with such a remarkable organization.
