We are excited to share with you various enhancements we have made to our management and review systems for our volunteer tutors in the Joyful Learning After-School Program for Give Chances.
As you may know, our program provides homework assistance and holistic academic support to children and youth grades 1-8. Though our in-person students come from the New Jersey and New York areas, our online students join us from everywhere across the country. Our volunteer tutors play an essential role in ensuring that these students receive the help they need to succeed in their studies.
To ensure the highest quality of support, we have implemented a system that requires all volunteer tutors to record their Zoom sessions with students. Furthermore, the internal system of our after-school program requires volunteers to fill out a survey after each session that records their personal evaluations on the academic and emotional well being of each student.
These recordings are then reviewed by our management and lead teachers, who provide feedback and support to our volunteers.
Through this system, we can identify areas where our volunteers can improve their interactions with students and teaching styles. We also provide resources and training to help them improve their skills and support the students more effectively.
The feedback we have received from our volunteer tutors has been overwhelmingly positive. They appreciate the opportunity to receive constructive feedback and resources to improve their skills. Additionally, they feel more confident and supported in their roles as volunteer tutors.
We are thrilled about these enhancements to our review systems, and believe they will help us provide better support to our students and volunteers. We would like to thank all of our volunteer tutors for their hard work and dedication to our program.
