[Give Chances] November Newsletter 2 (7 Habits Session 3)

Begin With the End in Mind

Building confident, thoughtful young leaders at Give Chances

On November 3, our teens gathered for the third session of “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” workshop.
This week’s focus was Habit #2: Begin With the End in Mind — learning to set goals and visualize the future before taking action.

To illustrate this concept, students began with a puzzle challenge. At first, they tried to piece together the image without seeing the final picture — an intentional struggle that showed how hard it is to work without a clear goal. Once they were shown the complete image, everything suddenly made sense!

This hands-on activity became a perfect metaphor for life: when we can see our “big picture,” every small step becomes more meaningful.

Afterward, students reflected deeply using The 7 Habits workbook, answering questions about their values, role models, and aspirations. They began drafting Personal Mission Statements — heartfelt declarations of who they want to become and the kind of life they hope to lead.

Next week, we’ll continue our journey toward building habits that strengthen purpose, confidence, and leadership!

Help us empower the next generation of youth leaders — one habit, one vision, and one mission at a time.
