Today, I am thrilled to share a heartwarming story of academic growth and the power of mentorship within our Joyful Learning After-School Program.
Esther, a fourth-grade student, was facing academic challenges that made it difficult for her to keep up with her peers. Recognizing her potential, our dedicated volunteer, Ronald Chakmakian, stepped in last fall to provide consistent support in subjects like math and reading.
Since the beginning of their journey together, Ronald has been a constant presence, helping Esther navigate the complexities of multiplication and enhancing her reading skills. His commitment and encouragement have played a crucial role in Esther's academic achievements.
As we reflect on the past fall semester, we are delighted to share that Esther not only met but exceeded expectations. In particular, she achieved a perfect score on her vocabulary test not once, but twice during the fall term—a testament to her hard work and Ronald's unwavering guidance.
