How Our Students are Progressing
As we have now adjusted to an online learning platform, many of the issues that first came with the transition have now been dealt with. Students are more comfortable with receiving remote support and still engage just as well as they would in a regular setting. It’s a good feeling to see that the students are encouraged to finish their work properly as they would if volunteers were able to meet with them in person. Problems with technology such as logging and properly using Zoom to meet with volunteer tutors are now taken care of for the most part, as students know what to do when Joyful Learning Children’s program starts and volunteers are prepared by 3:30 p.m. In addition, students are showing continuous hard work though it can be challenging to learn online. They remain focused and are able to complete their homework on top of additional studying on most days. Let’s give a big thank you to those who have remained patient until everyone got the hang of learning online!
