Our students have been working on homework completion with our students every day—allowing students the space and time to fully understand comprehend the material they are given at school. With this adjustment period of having some, if not, most students back at school, we are hoping that our program staying consistent of being online at the moment will provide a sense of comfort for students who are anxious about being in person again.
When students do not have as much homework, our volunteer tutors work on subject enrichment in Math and English Language Arts with them. Our students particularly love reading, so we have been encouraging students to write a short summary or opinion piece after reading their book of choice.
