A Joyful Opportunity to Help out and Teach Loveable and Hard-Working Kids Eunice Chung (11th Grade, Fort Lee High School)
I have learned so much from my experience at Give Chances thus far. Engaging and helping out the kids has brought me so much joy and happiness. Watching the kids do their work and do various activities reminded me of how important diligence and passion is. Moreover, spending time with these diligent and passionate kids has truly changed my attitude and my mindset. Although these kids do not have much, they pour every ounce of hard work and determination to achieve their goals. My time at Give Chances has also taught me that volunteering is more than just something you write down on a resume, but it is about making an impact to the kids and the community. Getting to know these amazing kids and watching them grow individually has been the most exciting and rewarding part of my journey at Give Chances. They teach me that humility and passion is all one needs to become the best version of themselves. Overall, my time at Give Chances has been so valuable and incomparable to any other programs I have ever volunteered for. The kids and Give Chances hold a special place deep in my heart and always will!
