Dear Give Chances Community,

Today, we are reaching out with a heavy heart to share difficult news about one of our own.

Lea Kim, a dedicated and compassionate student in our Junior Chance Makers leadership program, recently experienced a devastating loss. On the night of March 28, a house fire completely destroyed her family’s home. In a single moment, Lea and her family lost everything.

Lea is a student who truly embodies the spirit of Give Chances. She is always the first to step forward to help others—whether supporting younger students, volunteering her time, or bringing warmth and positivity to those around her. She has given so much to her community, and now she needs our support.

As a Give Chances family, we believe in showing up for one another, especially in moments like this.

We have launched a fundraiser to help Lea’s family begin the process of recovery and rebuilding. All funds will go directly to the family to support urgent needs during this difficult time.
