[Give Chances] November Newsletter 1 (Chance Makers at KASCANJ Gala)

Bridging Generations with Kindness and Care
Chance Makers Volunteer at the Korean American Senior Citizens' Association of New Jersey Gala

Last week, students from Give Chances’ youth leadership program, Chance Makers, volunteered at the annual gala of the Korean American Senior Citizens’ Association of New Jersey (KASCANJ), an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering seniors in our community.

From preparing program books and organizing seating to selling raffle tickets, wrapping gifts, and assisting with event logistics, our students brought their bright energy and warm smiles to every corner of the event.

As they shared encouragements and welcoming greetings with the attendees, their genuine respect and compassion could be felt throughout the evening.

Through this experience, the Chance Makers not only served the elder citizens of their communities, but also learned the values of gratitude, respect, and intergenerational connection, learning more about what it means to make positive impacts as young leaders.

🧡 We are so proud of these young leaders for representing Give Chances with such heart and dedication.

Here at Give Chances, we are dedicated to providing opportunities for our youth to build bridges of understanding and care across generations, and will continue to do so with passion and commitment.

Together, we can continue nurturing young leaders who serve with empathy and create positive change across generations.
