[Give Chances] November Newsletter 7 (Chance Makers at Kimchi Day Event)

Kimchi Day — A Celebration of Culture, Community, and Youth Leadership
Chance Makers youth leaders shared culture, served their community, and connected people through the joy of making kimchi at the 4th Annual Kimchi Day.

At this year’s Kimchi Day, the aroma of freshly made kimchi filled the halls—but what truly warmed the space was the dedication of Give Chances’ Chance Makers youth leaders.

From setup to cleanup, they prepared ingredients, guided participants, and offered support throughout the entire event, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and included.

One of the day’s most memorable moments came when our youth leaders helped non-Korean participants make kimchi for the very first time.
They explained each ingredient, shared the cultural meaning behind kimchi, and created a joyful space for learning and connection.

Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying how meaningful it was to learn directly from the youth leaders and experience Korean culture in such a warm, engaging way.

The Chance Makers were more than volunteers—they became cultural bridges, bringing people together through service and understanding.

Their leadership shined not through words, but through action, kindness, and genuine care.
At the end of the event, they shared the kimchi they made, inviting everyone to enjoy a taste of culture and community.
