[Give Chances] Warm Support Continues for Lea’s Family After House Fire

Warm Support Continues for Lea’s Family After House Fire

Hope in Community - Thank You for Standing with Lea's Family

Give Chances recently shared news of a house fire that impacted Lea’s family, a student in the Junior Chance Makers program, along with the heartfelt support that has emerged from the community in response.

On the night of March 28, a fire caused devastating damage to Lea’s home, leaving her family without their living space. Although they lost much of their daily foundation, the family is now taking time to recover and rebuild.

As the news spread, Give Chances launched a fundraising effort through GoFundMe and additional donation channels to support Lea’s family. In response, many community members and supporters stepped forward, offering their help and sharing their compassion.

Supporters have deeply empathized with Lea’s situation and willingly contributed, and even now, that spirit of giving continues. All funds raised will go directly toward helping Lea’s family recover and rebuild, carrying with them the collective care and sincerity of the community.

In particular, the Junior Chance Makers students went beyond simply contributing—they took time to personally express their support. By gathering and delivering donations together, they shared heartfelt messages of encouragement with Lea’s family, experiencing firsthand what it means to practice compassion and leadership within a community.

Lea’s mother shared, “I’ve learned that receiving help also takes courage,” and expressed her hope to one day extend the same kindness to others in need once their family has recovered. The whole family has shown a strong desire to remember the love they received and to pass it forward.

Through this experience, the Give Chances community has once again been reminded of the powerful impact of standing together. When many caring hands come together for one family, they can become a source of hope—helping them rise again.
