As we all know, COVID-19 is a pandemic that has introduced many unprecedented challenges to people. An example of this would be food insecurity - families that had been depending on lunch programs through schools must now face a sudden lack of meals due to a virtual education state. Low income families that have been struggling to make ends meet before will only continue to suffer, but Give Chances and the volunteers working under the program are taking a step forward in aiding families through this difficult time.
An initial round of food delivery took place from April-June of 2020, and Give Chances started this up again on October 31st, 2020. Food deliveries will go to each family once a week for nine weeks, until the end of the year. The volunteers have been working non-stop to ensure that the families of Give Chances are not going hungry.
With the help of donors, Give Chances has been able to complete these food deliveries, and now we are reaching out and asking for help. Although this situation is tough for many, there is a sense of community that ties the families and Give Chances together and we don’t want to stop this program. No donation will go unnoticed and we thank you in advance for helping contribute to our cause.
