My Valuable Experience at Give Chances Eric Kim (10th Grade, Academies at Englewood)
My experience at Give Chances was extremely valuable because not only are the students learning, but I am also learning and improving as a teacher and mentor. I started volunteering at Give Chances in the beginning of 9th grade, so this is only my second year volunteering, but I am very dedicated to this program and feel as if I have been teaching the students for several years. Even through this pandemic, the students have continued to work hard which also inspires me to become an even better teacher to the students, to be able to help with their journey towards their goals. I am awaiting the day we will be able to meet in person once again.
